About Vince Donovan
Vince Donovan served 30 years as a police officer with South Wales police. During his career, he engaged in a variety of roles that included; community policing, CID, firearms community safety, hate crime management and counter terrorism.
Over the past 22 years, Vince has delivered training to over 400 organisations throughout the UK. He is a national keynote speaker on the subject of managing violence and aggression in the workplace and provides specialist training for regional IOSH groups across the country.
Vince regularly participates in interviews on National BBC Radio on the subject of personal safety and issues covering radicalisation and violent extremism.

Course Background:
Many employees today have to deal with confrontational situations in the workplace. Employees may become victims of verbal abuse, harassment, threats or even physical violence. As a direct consequence the employer may well experience the negative effects of such actions, which can directly affect the organisation; absenteeism, stress related illnesses, expense of temporary staff, low moral, reduced productivity output, and the additional workforce costs which may be incurred through litigation and compensation.
Purpose
This one-day Conflict Management training course is designed to provide staff with the skills necessary to deal safely and effectively with confrontational situations in the workplace. Through dynamic risk assessment staff will learn how and when it is safe to take control of confrontational situations.
